The Interrupters Fight the Good Fight to Keep Ska Exciting with New Album

The Interrupters Fight the Good Fight to Keep Ska Exciting with New Album

Check out "She's Kerosene" from 'Fight the Good Fight', coming June 29 via Hellcat
May 2, 2018 (May 2, 2018) // Riot Fest

The Interrupters are back, and they’re playing with fire. Yesterday, it was revealed that Fight the Good Fight, the always-fun LA-based power quartet’s first album since 2015’s Say It Out Loud, is coming our way June 29 via Hellcat Records. The new record was produced live to tape by longtime collaborator and friend Tim Armstrong from Rancid, which is always a good thing.

Along with the news came “She’s Kerosene,” the album’s intense lead single and accompanying Armstrong-directed video. Frontwoman Aimee Interrupter hopes that the triumphant anthem-to-be can help listeners feel “empowered to leave a toxic relationship.”

She does just that with a bruising chorus of “I’m a match, she’s kerosene, you know she’s gonna burn down everything / She’s an arsonist in her pastime, and I’ve been burned for the last time,” over a driving ska beat that’s as powerful as any of the greats.

The Interrupters hit the road this week, joining up with Fat Mike’s Punk In Drublic family fun festival throughout the rest of the month. They’ll also be part of the Vans Warped Tour grand finale, from July 14 through August 5. All tour dates listed below, followed by the cover art and track listing for Fight the Good Fight. We’d like to hear all of those tracks now, please.
