Wash Your Hands, Punk: Rewrite Some Lyrics and Win Riot Fest Tickets

Wash your hands. Practice social distancing. Don’t touch your face. Stay at home. These are things we’ve heard over and over the past month.

Now it’s your turn to remind us to stay safe by rewriting a song to help us remember—and if you’re lucky, you could win Riot Fest tickets!

Here’s how to enter:

STEP 1: Pick a punk song (or any song from a past Riot Fest artist) and rewrite the lyrics to be about hand washing, social distancing, or anything else from the guidelines from the CDC or the ones from WHO.

STEP 2: Submit your rewritten lyrics* via one of the following:

     ✶ On Facebook, post your entry in the comments of this post.
     ✶ On Twitter, reply to this thread with your entry.
     ✶ On Instagram, reply to this post with your entry.

STEP 3: Win. (Well, someone will.) On Monday, April 6, our panel of industry renowned songwriting judges will choose their favorite entries—one from each social media platform, three winners total. Winners will receive a pair of 3-Day GA passes to Riot Fest 2020.

*PLEASE NOTE: Anyone who changes the lyrics from “My Sharona” to “My Corona” is automatically disqualified.
