Some of us have been shopping online a lot lately—but with online shopping comes the occasional (yet inevitable) stupid purchase. Maybe it was a designer backpack that turned out to be hilariously fake. Maybe you spent $500 on LEGO sets, even though you’re 30 and don’t own any furniture. Maybe it was just some weird shit you saw in a Wish.com ad.
For our next contest, we’d like to hear from you about the dumbest thing you’ve ever bought online. Maybe you regret it—maybe you don’t! Either way, if it’s funny, you’ll get a chance at winning Riot Fest tickets and a Wish.com gift card.
Here’s all the details:
STEP 1: Remember that “thing” you got on the internet that, in hindsight, was not a very wise decision? Take a photo of it, and make sure it’s something dumb that you bought, not someone else. Keep it PG-13, folks.
STEP 2: Submit a picture of your dumb internet purchase via one of the following:
✶ On Facebook, post your entry in the comments of this post.
✶ On Twitter, reply to this thread with your entry.
✶ On Instagram, post your entry with the hashtag #RiotFestContest
STEP 3: On Tuesday, August 4, we’ll choose our favorite entry and give them a pair of passes to Riot Fest 2021, along with a $25 gift card to Wish.com so you can shop for more useless junk. (Which, like, can you really think of a better website to do so?)
