Premiere: Devon Kay & The Solutions Stream Video for “252 Brighton Ave”

Premiere: Devon Kay & The Solutions Stream Video for “252 Brighton Ave”

A single to support the survival of independent venues
July 20, 2020 (December 6, 2022) // Riot Fest

You saw it first if you were tuned in to our livestream with Devon Kay & The Solutions this past Friday—but we’re elated to share “252 Brighton Ave” with you today, a brand-new single from the band. Watch the video below.

The video, edited by Kay himself, collects footage from the group’s 2019-2020 tours supporting the release of Yes, I Can’t in 2019. Many of the venues depicted are now facing financial strain, thus the band has included a list of venues from the tour to financially support:

Green Lantern – Lexington, KY
Concord Music Hall – Chicago, IL
Cobra Lounge – Chicago, IL
Milestone Club – Charlotte, NC
Civic Media Center – Gainesville, FL
Mortimer’s Bar – Minneapolis, MN
Cactus Club – Milwaukee, WI
X-Ray Arcade – Milwaukee, WI
Gabe’s – Iowa City, IA
Beardon Brickyard – Knoxville, TN
The Waiting Room – Naperville, IL

According to the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), 90% of independent venues and festivals will cease to exist without federal funding to withstand the COVID-19 pandemic. Congress will soon vote on the RESTART Act, legislation focused on bailing out the music industry; you take action here.
