Sometimes bigger, isn’t always better. Unless it’s a super sized burrito from a Mexican joint, then yes. We’ll make that exception.
After 16 foot surgeries, Igor Vovkovinskiy, the tallest man in the United States, finally received custom-made kicks courtesy of Reebok. Igor, who wears a size 24, 10E shoe, started an online fundraiser and raised over $32,000 to be put towards custom made shoes. A single pair for his size requirements cost around $15,000. Reebok heard the news and flew him out to their headquarters where they ran numerous tests. After waiting 5 months, Reebok delivered 3 pairs of custom shoes to Igor’s front step, free of charge. According to Rochester Post-Bulletin, Igor commented, “It feels so good, like I’m walking on pillows or mattresses.”
While it’s a touching story, we’re still curious about that one myth: you know what they say about people with big feet…
