A Safe Haven 5K: Run Fast, Do Good, Win Riot Fest Tickets

This July, you can help the homeless, get some exercise, and win Riot Fest tickets all at the same time. A Safe Haven Foundation will launch its 9th Annual 5K Run To End Homelessness on Saturday, July 13, at scenic Montrose Harbor in Buena Park, Chicago. Proceeds will support the foundation’s mission of supporting and guiding the local homeless community towards self-sufficiency, pride, and purpose.

Before you start bellyaching about all that jogging, you should know that a 5K is only 3.1 miles, and you’ve walked more than that throughout any given Riot Fest.

In continuation of our partnership with the Douglas Park Neighborhood Organization, the Riot Fest Foundation will welcome the first 50 runners across the finish line with a pair of 3-day passes to Riot Fest.

Don’t feel like running? We’re looking for volunteers. Duties will include checking in other volunteers, checking in and/or registering runners or walkers, gear check, water for runners, logistics, and directions, safety, and set-up and tear-down of the event. Volunteers can expect to stay until around 11:00 am. Volunteers who complete their service will earn one (1) single day GA pass to Riot Fest 2019.
