We’ve got a premiere for your viewing pleasure today, courtesy of Teenage Bottlerocket. It’s a canine-covered visual companion to “I Wanna Be a Dog,” a track off the band’s 8th album Stay Rad!. Watch it below.
“Our buddy Brad from Bevill Dog Behavior hooked up a ton of dogs,” bassist Miguel Chen told Riot Fest. “He sat us down for a meeting about how to keep a calm, happy environment for the pooches, who were all going through different levels of training. We had to ignore the dogs for the first ten minutes while they got used to the cameras. By the end of the shoot Kody [Templeman] was walking 17 dogs at once!”
For the record: Whoever had the idea to film a bunch of dogs taking dumps while wearing Teenage Bottlerocket bandanas—not to mention a denim doggy jacket—deserves a raise. Bravo.
Teenage Bottlerocket will embark on the FAT Tour on August 30, alongside Fat Wreck Chords labelmates Mean Jeans, Clowns, and Jen Pop (The Bombpops). The band will make a stop at this year’s Riot Fest on Sunday, September 15. Tour dates are below.
