Just like you, we miss live music a lot right now—but if there’s one thing we don’t miss, it’s the god-awful barrage of cell phones taking shoddy footage of the gig. We get the idea: you want to have something to remember the show with. But is it really worth it if that memory is a terribly blurry vertical video where you can only hear the bass?
Well, desperate times call for desperate contests. We miss live music so much that we want to watch all of your horrible, horrible concert footage from your phone. In return, we’ll pick one winner and give them Riot Fest tickets.
Here’s how to enter:
STEP 1: Find the worst concert footage on your phone.
STEP 2: Submit your horrible concert footage through one of two ways:
✶ On Twitter and Instagram, post your entry with #MyWorstConcertVideo
✶ On Facebook, post your entry in the comments of this post.
STEP 3: On Tuesday, August 11, we’ll choose our favorite entry and give them a pair of passes to Riot Fest 2021. We might just share your awful footage as well so the rest of the world can witness the horror of your camerawork.
(P.S. If you really miss live music, you should tell your representatives that independent venues are in serious danger. It’s easy and takes very little time—just head over to the National Independent Venue Association’s website and help save our stages.)
