Watch a New Blind Adam and The Federal League Video Ahead of ANTIfest

Watch a New Blind Adam and The Federal League Video Ahead of ANTIfest

Listen to “There Was A Ballgame” ahead of their Chicago show with Anti-Flag on November 4
October 20, 2022 (October 20, 2022) // Riot Fest

Ahead of their opening slot for ANTIfest in just two weeks, Blind Adam and The Federal League have released a brand new video for their song “There Was A Ballgame.” Watch it below.

The track is off Blind Adam’s 2021 record An Act of Desperation, which was produced by Chris #2 Barker of Anti-Flag. Singer Adam Gogola wrote the track about his grandmother, and his relationship with the Chicago Cubs. He shared the following quote on the track:

“The song was written as a letter to my grandmother who sadly passed away in 1996. She was a huge Cubs fan, and some of my best childhood memories were celebrating Chicago sports with her – especially the Chicago Cubs. Donald Trump was elected less than one week after the Cubs finally won the 2016 World Series with the direct help of club owners, The Ricketts, who are actively involved in GOP and MAGA politics. Baseball is supposed to be for the people, but it has been a long time since I felt at home at Wrigley Field.” –Adam Gogola

“From the minute Adam brought this song into the room, we knew it was special,” Anti-Flag’s Barker adds. “What can feel like a trivial act of spending an afternoon at the ballpark with someone can have a forever lasting impact on how we view our futures and look back on our pasts. ‘Ballgame’ is the perfect song for an ever changing fall, nostalgia, and our collective hope.”

If you like what you’re hearing (and especially if you’re an Anti-Flag fan), you should absolutely be at ANTIfest on November 4 at Metro. On top of Blind Adam and Anti-Flag, The stacked lineup includes performances from the Suicide Machines, We Are The Union, and Gully Boys. Get tickets here.
