Chicago punk veterans Canadian Rifle are back with a brand-new single, “Pink Cloud,” along with a music video directed by longtime Riot Fest friend Deanna Belos. The track appears on the band’s upcoming Nietzsche EP, a split release with Minneapolis punks Tightwire, arriving July 10.
Driven by Canadian Rifle’s signature blend of melodic hooks and gritty punk energy, “Pink Cloud” tells the story of misplaced confidence with a darkly comedic twist. As guitarist and vocalist Jake Levee explains:
It’s your classic character feeling artificial confidence. Too stubborn to ask for directions, takes the wrong turn and ends up somewhere terrifying.
Riot Fest fans may already know Canadian Rifle from past appearances at War on X-Mas, the Sludgeworth reunion show, and other Riot Fest events over the years, making this latest release feel right at home in the Riot Fest family.
