Superchunk just released a new 7″ and digital single via the Merge Records Bandcamp to benefit Planned Parenthood South Atlantic. These two tunes are powerful and raw, one is new (Chelsea Manning’s even name-dropped) and one’s a cover of the Tom Robinson Band. Have a listen go support a good cause.
System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian joined Prophets of Rage on stage at the Rock im Park Festival in Nuremberg, Germany to pay tribute to Chris Cornell. Serj sang the Audioslave single “Like A Stone” with the band, and you can see the emotional tribute for yourself right here.
Hot Water Music released the prophetically-named A Flight and A Crash on this day in 2001. Check out the video for “Paper Thin” in case they leave it off the set list at Riot Fest this year.
We’d like to thank AV Club for quenching our thirst by introducing us to the bubbly joy that is “La Croix Boi,” by Big Dipper.
